Spectators: 177 (Terracing: 133, Seating: 41, VIP seats: 3) Kris Berry started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Richard Clemens hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Don Küttner's late challenge caught a The Globo Red's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Don Küttner helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Don Küttner got a free kick in the 11th minute. Thorben Rittmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcello Karger. 22 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Berry came free, but Rasmus Gölz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Kris Berry managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Globo Red's supporters rose to their feet, but Kris Berry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rasmus Gölz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rasmus Gölz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Berry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sydney FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dennis Rzepka hit a great ball. The Globo Red's Don Lambourne got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerome Niven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Clemens in the 37th minute of the match. Sydney FC's Thorben Rittmann was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jerome Niven made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Thorben Rittmann sent off a good shot on target. Henrik Reifer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Niven having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thorben Rittmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henrik Reifer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jerome Niven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in The Globo Red's zone, Henrik Reifer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerome Niven came out of the goal and Henrik Reifer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Reifer to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes in the game, Kris Berry fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rasmus Gölz having to interfere. After some careless play in the The Globo Red defense, Henrik Reifer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerome Niven. The The Globo Red fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerome Niven should have stopped the shot. Sydney FC's Richard Clemens got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Richard Clemens off the ground. In the 79th minute, Richard Clemens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rasmus Gölz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Berry, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
