A collision led to Outer Space FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alexandro Beltrán hit a great ball. The Globo Red's Thomas Case quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Thom Moxon, made in the 20th minute of the game. Rudolf Dörr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Outer Space FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Moura came free, but Rudolf Dörr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of The Globo Red booed when Outer Space FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvid Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Wright made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 鲁建默 in the 36th minute of play. Heiko Merkel kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Rudolf Dörr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Moura in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caco Moura to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Caco Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Globo Red's Ramon Wright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandro Beltrán in the 55th minute of play. Marty Hurren hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If Caco Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Caco Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudolf Dörr was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 77th match minute, Outer Space FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiko Merkel to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Caco Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Globo Red's supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolf Dörr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudolf Dörr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Globo Red's attentive Jon Downes managed to snatch the ball when Thom Moxon made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. Frederic Burg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Wright having to interfere. The Globo Red's Ramon Wright proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save The Globo Red from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandro Beltrán got free with Ramon Wright in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Globo Red walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
