The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Domingos Estrela fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Beatriz 08's protests and gave Domingos Estrela a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, FC Beatriz 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Estrela to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Silvestre Sesimbra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The União Sport Clube Paredes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Angélico Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Peseiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of União Sport Clube Paredes booed when FC Beatriz 08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Silvestre Sesimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Sidónio Quental managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Beatriz 08's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidónio Quental was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermenegildo Cavaco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joaquim Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Sport Clube Paredes's protests and gave Joaquim Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to União Sport Clube Paredes getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Joaquim Ferreira hit a great ball. In the 37th minute Pedro Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermenegildo Cavaco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, União Sport Clube Paredes's Micael Casado got a free kick in the 40th minute. União Sport Clube Paredes's Hermenegildo Cavaco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Bezerra in the 42nd minute of play. Pedro Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hermenegildo Cavaco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Beatriz 08's Angélico Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save FC Beatriz 08 from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Micael Casado took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Angélico Borges to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Hermenegildo Cavaco made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Hipólito Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Angélico Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micael Casado in the 58th minute of play. União Sport Clube Paredes's António Peseiro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, União Sport Clube Paredes's Joaquim Ferreira got a free kick in the 65th minute. Angélico Borges came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by União Sport Clube Paredes's Silvestre Sesimbra. But to his dismay, Silvestre Sesimbra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 74 minutes into the match, António Peseiro notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Beatriz 08's Angélico Borges. Angélico Borges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, António Peseiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The União Sport Clube Paredes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Micael Casado succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. União Sport Clube Paredes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
