After 2 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Monteiro. 4 minutes into the game, Denílson Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ruy Arce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute, Denílson Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio RK75 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Madureira during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Mundial EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grêmio RK75:s goal. Ruy Arce had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Denílson Ferreira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 25th minute, Vicente Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christiano Furtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredão Toledo in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute of the match, Gustavo Monteiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christiano Furtado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Falcão in the 34th minute of play forced Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper Christiano Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denílson Ferreira to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Ruy Arce successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Elói Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio RK75's supporters rose to their feet, but Elói Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruy Arce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 minutes, Pedro Luís Saldanha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mundial EC and the Grêmio RK75 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Mundial EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Grêmio RK75's Denílson Ferreira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. A collision led to Mundial EC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lauro Trigo hit a great ball. Mundial EC's Lauro Trigo pulled a muscle in his leg after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Franklin Mello fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio RK75's protests and gave Franklin Mello a yellow card for diving instead. Mundial EC made a substitution. Raí Coutinho replaced Lauro Trigo. The supporters of Mundial EC booed when Grêmio RK75 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute Denílson Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elói Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ruy Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christiano Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Coutinho in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grêmio RK75 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
