Vascogoianiense FC's Aírton Sousa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raphael Penha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nelsinho Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Balada in the 29th minute. Alessandro de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th minute Aírton Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matheus Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Şehzade Tecer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nelsinho Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şehzade Tecer, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes in the game, Baldomero Gipuzkoa dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 63rd minute of the match Vascogoianiense FC got a corner. Mundial EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aírton Sousa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Vascogoianiense FC's corner Sidnei Leão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Raphael Penha quite easily take care of the ball. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mundial EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aírton Sousa was slow to take the kick. During this time Vascogoianiense FC's players had a chance to rest. 67 minutes into the game, Nils Bengtsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mundial EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vascogoianiense FC the free kick. After 67 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by Nils Bengtsson. Vascogoianiense FC made a substitution. Válbson Pontes replaced Baldomero Gipuzkoa. Mundial EC's Belmiro Pontes was substituted for Léo Chaves. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Bengtsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Sousa in the 72nd minute of play forced Mundial EC's goalkeeper Raphael Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
