The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. C.A Huracan's Emiliano Arixo got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Sotero charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Sotero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gustavo Sotero hit a great ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goalkeeper Moises Espiridion, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emiliano Arixo's late challenge caught a Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Arixo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Emiliano Arixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleto Saturnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, C.A Huracan's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Patxi came free, but Victorio Jurgi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Ekhi might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victorio Jurgi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Ekhi ran back to his position shaking his head. Victorio Jurgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Ekhi in the 32nd minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Marcos Lauren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A Huracan the free kick. Victorio Jurgi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Sotero in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Saturnin in the 46th minute of play forced C.A Huracan's goalkeeper Victorio Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Domenec made a kick off. Igor Domenec hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd match minute, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Patxi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Gustavo Sotero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 55 played minutes C.A Huracan got a freekick which was hit by Siro Berdaitz. Victorio Jurgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Patxi in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A Huracan's Maximiliano Teofilio got a free kick in the 57th minute. Victorio Jurgi made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gustavo Sotero sent off a good shot on target. Moises Espiridion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Mirande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorio Jurgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Patxi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Moises Espiridion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Arixo in the 81st minute of play. Moises Espiridion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Mirande in the 83rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Victorio Jurgi threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eustacio Patxi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With his leg Victorio Jurgi managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Eustacio Patxi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Edelmiro Leizarraga hit a great ball. With 88 minutes on the clock, Edelmiro Leizarraga commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 89 played minutes Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Leizarraga. In the 90th minute Maximiliano Teofilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Espiridion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
