Basilio Nabar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Charmander City's Guaberto Calisto got a free kick in the 29th minute. Alberto Erlantz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque James, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Roque James ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Erlantz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Charmander City were furious when Herminio Cucao was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Charmander City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! In the 40th minute there was a penalty for ..Villa Rugby Club... Pastor Salamon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Erlantz. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque James to make the kick off.
