Kåre Tolsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 81st minute, Tibalt Amirola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GREMIO's Kåre Tolsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Pedroso in the 84th minute of play. If Justo Docanado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes GREMIO got a freekick which was hit by Ishaq Bayauw. After 94 played minutes GREMIO got a freekick which was hit by Mykhaylo Slavik. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
