In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Rene Chale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The wind increased when Ryszard Brak made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Artemio Filipo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artemio Filipo succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-1. With a little luck, River Plate's Rene Chale got control of the ball when Arvid Springfält tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artemio Filipo took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Dahlkvist. Olov Dahlkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1.
