Spectators: 7610 (Terracing: 5735, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Artemio Filipo kicked off to start the match. Florentino Rodas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Rene Chale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute of the match Teodosio Tulio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Aguayo skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Florentino Rodas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Rodas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Chale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Aguayo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when 冯岩默 sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute Paco Feld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Chale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, River Plate's Artemio Filipo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Aguayo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Artemio Filipo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Bernardo Aguayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. In the 37th minute, Abelardo Isias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Raul Goyo got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

The wind increased when Sotero Azofra made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Artemio Filipo put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bernardo Aguayo. After 55th play minutes Sotero Azofra shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Rene Chale and just under the crossbar into goal. Rene Chale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Feld in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Filipo in the 62nd minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Aguayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Chale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paco Feld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Artemio Filipo managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Artemio Filipo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Aguayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paco Feld in the 69th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Rene Chale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Artemio Filipo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Filipo couldn't finish the play. Rene Chale made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Sotero Azofra sent off a good shot on target. 冯岩默's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Aguayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Marcos Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Filipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Aguayo having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Rene Chale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Bilintx. Rene Chale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paco Feld in the 97th minute. River Plate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
