In the 22ndth minute of the game Vinicio Bermudo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Patoruzu's Aldo Hawk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Gualterio Aguirre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guararapes's Romeu Guedes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Eduardo Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Romeu Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Atlético Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Bermudo came free, but Aldo Hawk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Hawk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Bermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Hawk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Bermudo in the 41st minute of the match. When Maicon Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guararapes's protests and gave Maicon Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Maicon Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Aguirre to make the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Hawk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 played minutes Guararapes got a freekick which was hit by Carter Monticelli. Romeu Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentim Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute Atlético Patoruzu were awarded a corner. Willie Staton went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Valentim Leão almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guararapes's Romeu Guedes did a great save. If Moreno Torricelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Hawk made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Vinicio Bermudo sent off a good shot on target. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
