With an all-out effort, AKATSUKIS FC's Roman Iza threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harold Holsmuller, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AKATSUKIS FC's Amadeu Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Nuno in the 21st minute of play. Amadeu Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Iyan in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Oscar Iyan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rio Gallegos Unidos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Paco Helguera hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 40th match minute, Rio Gallegos Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Txurio to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Iyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Alvarenga having to interfere. A collision led to Rio Gallegos Unidos getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Carmelo Soter hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Harold Holsmuller made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes AKATSUKIS FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Verdeja. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Nuno in the 59th minute of play forced AKATSUKIS FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilio Nuno in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Alvarenga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Iyan in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeu Alvarenga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 69th match minute, AKATSUKIS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Gallinal to maneuver through the defense. Rio Gallegos Unidos's Orlando Mitxel was substituted for Genaro Pacorro. Roman Iza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AKATSUKIS FC. Paco Helguera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Roman Iza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Verdeja kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Rio Gallegos Unidos's Bartolo Abar was substituted for Oscar Iyan. The supporters of Rio Gallegos Unidos booed when AKATSUKIS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sobrado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the game, one of AKATSUKIS FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gonzalo Artechevezuen's late challenge caught a Rio Gallegos Unidos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Artechevezuen helped the player get up and apologised. The Rio Gallegos Unidos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
