In the 4th minute, Tostão Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itaberaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in New Joinville - FSCMZ's zone, Rafinha Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Gustavson came out of the goal and Rafinha Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xande Koeman kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Tostão Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Gustavson having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Tostão Barreto made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Gustavson. New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Falcão Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Patrick Tepedino took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Gustavson. Gustavo Gustavson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 34 minutes into the match, Itaberaba's goalkeeper Vinícius Sergipano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo. In the 38th minute, Patrick Tepedino made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Gustavson. New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Gustavo Gustavson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Galvão in the 41st minute of play.

After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Koeman got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 64th minute, Ediberto Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Gustavson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Walmir Sarmento was substituted for Válbson Schmidt. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Itaberaba! Itaberaba:s Vinícius Sergipano showed great skill when he stopped Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo:s penalty. Xande Koeman hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tostão Barreto 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. After having played for 90 minutes, Ediberto Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaberaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ediberto Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Itaberaba's Tostão Barreto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gustavo Gustavson. That made the score 0-7 after 96 minutes of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Itaberaba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
