Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Formentera's goalkeeper Amanda van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tiquinho Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Amanda van der Sar managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Xiboquinha FC's Tiquinho Soares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 9th minute Tiquinho Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amanda van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caetano Simões in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amanda van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute Xiboquinha FC were awarded a corner. Olavo Moreno went to the cornerflag to take it. Amanda van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Enrico Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Formentera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blas Estevez in the 35th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Xiboquinha FC's goalie and right to Carlos Fernández. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Xiboquinha FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Blas Estevez got a free kick in the 37th minute. Honorio Lapurdi kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

50 minutes into the game, Andrey Villasante threw the ball into play from the sideline. Formentera's Elberg Monte quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Amanda van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Honorio Lapurdi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Paulo Enmanuel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Dibag Martinez made a huge save. Xiboquinha FC's Dibag Martinez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Xiboquinha FC from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Simões came free, but Amanda van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Formentera's Amanda van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Simões in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Xiboquinha FC got a corner. Formentera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olavo Moreno ran over to the corner to take the kick. Xiboquinha FC made a substitution. Tiago Safadão replaced Tiquinho Soares. Xiboquinha FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olavo Moreno in the 69th minute. The corner led Xiboquinha FC's Olavo Moreno to fire away a dangerous shot which Amanda van der Sar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Fausto Cresencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formentera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xiboquinha FC the free kick. After 80 minutes, Elberg Monte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formentera and the Xiboquinha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute of the match Olavo Moreno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amanda van der Sar skillfully saved the ball. Dibag Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Estevez in the 87th minute of play. Fausto Cresencio got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 90 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Cresencio. For all the effort they put into the match, the Formentera players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Xiboquinha FC.
