Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Álvarez in the 3rd minute of play. Kader Passi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xove Tijerina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Xove Tijerina made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Cakra Nyakmad sent off a good shot on target. Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Álvarez in the 7th minute of play. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Indonesia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Solustiano Blea took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Solustiano Blea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mekki Item quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 12 minutes into the match, Cakra Nyakmad dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Xove Tijerina, 1-0. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Indonesia's goalkeeper Mekki Item, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match Indonesia got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anto Kuncoro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Indonesia's Anto Kuncoro to fire away a dangerous shot which Xove Tijerina despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Solustiano Blea hit a great ball. Agustín Álvarez scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mekki Item, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Indonesia's Mekki Item played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Álvarez in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Indonesia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Solustiano Blea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Uruguay's Solustiano Blea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mekki Item in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Uruguay's Agustín Álvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anto Kuncoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mekki Item showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Álvarez in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Agustín Álvarez made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cakra Nyakmad in the 58th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Xove Tijerina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay made a substitution. Rosario Cepa replaced Agustín Álvarez. A collision led to Indonesia getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Anto Kuncoro hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Rosario Cepa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mekki Item was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Indonesia's Mekki Item played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosario Cepa in the 66th minute of play. Mekki Item showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosario Cepa in the 72nd minute of the match. Uruguay made a substitution. Gitano Rubiero replaced Primitivo Grau. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Indonesia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Solustiano Blea took the corner. With a little luck, Indonesia's Mekki Item got control of the ball when Rosario Cepa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayi Kusumah in the 78th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Xove Tijerina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zemario Quer kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Indonesia's Cakra Nyakmad got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th play minute Rosario Cepa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mekki Item. 2-3. Mekki Item didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosario Cepa went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score.
