The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandu Cenușă during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Muget's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ferruccio Mori was slow to take the kick. During this time Duri come il marmo's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Duri come il marmo's corner Ferruccio Mori fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Avram Panait quite easily take care of the ball. The attack was good, but when Emilio Di Campli in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Felice Selvaggi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leontin Cenușă in the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Duri come il marmo got a corner. Muget's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ferruccio Mori ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Muget's goalie and right to Ercole Petrosino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Muget's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 23rd minute, Ilie Niculcea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Avram Panait made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Emilio Di Campli sent off a good shot on target. Muget were furious when Costin Boieru was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Muget:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Duri come il marmo:s goal. Avram Panait had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Ferruccio Mori's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 33rd minute, Ferruccio Mori left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duri come il marmo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The Muget fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Muget's Leontin Cenușă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Flavio Stragapede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Avram Panait tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felice Selvaggi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leontin Cenușă's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferruccio Mori to strike the kick off in the second half. Leontin Cenușă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felice Selvaggi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Muget's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ilie Niculcea in the 59th minute. The corner ended in Ilie Niculcea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Duri come il marmo's Felice Selvaggi did a great save. In the 60th match minute, Muget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandu Cenușă to maneuver through the defense. Petru Ţurcaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Leontin Cenușă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muget fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Avram Panait made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Stragapede in the 74th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Leontin Cenușă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Duri come il marmo's Felice Selvaggi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Emilio Di Campli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Panait saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avram Panait showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Mori, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Felice Selvaggi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leontin Cenușă. If Ferruccio Mori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Iurie Câmpeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Duri come il marmo the free kick. Duri come il marmo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
