El Canalla de Chicago's Bart Villanueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lajos Kossuth in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Pendleton got free with Sándor Czibor in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Várdomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márton Zádori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mátyás Benke might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bart Villanueva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudolf Pendleton made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Rudolf Pendleton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sándor Czibor was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mátyás Benke got free with Bart Villanueva in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Zoltán Tímár fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Várdomb's protests and gave Zoltán Tímár a yellow card for diving instead. Zoltán Tímár hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Martin Tuttle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Várdomb's Bart Villanueva threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from János Hámori, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
