This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Manuel Fitzpatrick as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Joaquim Vilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Vilar in the 16th minute of play forced Malibu Soccer Beach's goalkeeper Manuel Fitzpatrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, El Canalla de Chicago's Joaquim Vilar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manuel Fitzpatrick. Manuel Fitzpatrick yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Manuel Fitzpatrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Vilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the game, El Canalla de Chicago's Domingo Lopez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Fitzpatrick made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Joaquim Vilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Vilar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Fitzpatrick was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domingo Lopez made a kick off. The supporters of Malibu Soccer Beach booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Shannon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leonardo Starr fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malibu Soccer Beach's protests and gave Leonardo Starr a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Malibu Soccer Beach's Leonardo Starr got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Domingo Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malibu Soccer Beach's Manuel Fitzpatrick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Milan Kitchen charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milan Kitchen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute of the match Pascal Combs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Fitzpatrick showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manuel Fitzpatrick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claude Mueller went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the game, Joesph Hager was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malibu Soccer Beach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Canalla de Chicago the free kick. Joesph Hager hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to Malibu Soccer Beach getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Joesph Hager hit a great ball. Manuel Fitzpatrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Lopez in the 75th minute of play. Manuel Fitzpatrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Lamar Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Lamar Gallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Fitzpatrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malibu Soccer Beach made a substitution. Devin Carnes replaced Leonardo Starr. 87 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Cegielski came free, but Wilbur Hyde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Malibu Soccer Beach's corner Derick Sloan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilbur Hyde quite easily take care of the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Lamar Gallo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Manuel Fitzpatrick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute Lamar Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Fitzpatrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Canalla de Chicago's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
