The referee ignored ZEZOM TEAM's protests and gave Fabiano Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Fabiano Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 came in the 28th minute when Jarkko Sulin all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Leandro Eanes. Leandro Eanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antti Enola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Casado's late challenge caught a Manchester United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Casado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ZEZOM TEAM getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Carlos Casado hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes ZEZOM TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Nóbrega. In the 47th minute, Atso Nieminen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ZEZOM TEAM's Leandro Eanes didn't even have to move. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Paulo Diegues came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the ZEZOM TEAM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Diegues couldn't finish the play. Leandro Eanes made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Antti Enola sent off a good shot on target. Eelis Heinikainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Barros in the 56th minute of the match. Manchester United FC's Atso Nieminen got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 played minutes ZEZOM TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Jordão. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Uolevi Rauvola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Uolevi Rauvola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Eanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevin Jordão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eelis Heinikainen. Manchester United FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Barros in the 73rd minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Eelis Heinikainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Telmo Carmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
