Antti Enola came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Anselmi Oksa could save by the left post. In the 34th minute, Aku Rissanen made a precise shot to the right of Eelis Heinikainen. Manchester United FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eelis Heinikainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miika Vihtilä in the 41st minute of play. Liverpool FC's Anselmi Oksa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool FC from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilmo Möksy was the one to do the kick off. Atso Nieminen's late challenge caught a Liverpool FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atso Nieminen helped the player get up and apologised. Atso Nieminen hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Eelis Heinikainen was a little too slow when Aku Rissanen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-2. Eelis Heinikainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miika Vihtilä in the 59th minute of play. Ilmari Seppo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Ilmari Seppo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Viljami Virtala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eelis Heinikainen having to interfere. Manchester United FC's Eelis Heinikainen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester United FC from getting a goal against them. Atso Nieminen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Viljami Virtala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eelis Heinikainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Manchester United FC's Eelis Heinikainen got control of the ball when Viljami Virtala tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Viljami Virtala fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liverpool FC's protests and gave Viljami Virtala a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Liverpool FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Viljami Virtala hit a great ball. Liverpool FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
