After a rather tough play, FC Gullegem's Lorenzo Decremer got a free kick in the 24th minute. Sammy Van De Gehuchte made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Lucas Capellemans sent off a good shot on target. When Alfons Daems came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the FC Gullegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfons Daems couldn't finish the play. Limburg United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gullegem the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Limburg United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Van Buyten to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Stephan Nagels from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Manuel Pelegrims's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 68 minutes into the match, Geert Leenknecht had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sammy Van De Gehuchte. FC Gullegem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geert Leenknecht was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
