FCF north's Humberto de Vlieger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save FCF north from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Hertha 1969 booed when FCF north was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Huizen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, FCF north's goalkeeper Humberto de Vlieger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dante Jakob. With a little luck, FCF north's Humberto de Vlieger got control of the ball when Sascha Meinhardt tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Erwin Hekman fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FCF north's protests and gave Erwin Hekman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, FCF north was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erwin Hekman to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Dante Jakob sped through FCF north's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto de Vlieger. The supporters of Hertha 1969 booed when FCF north was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Huizen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes of play FCF north's Andre Vos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Andre Vos hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Marick de Jong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Sascha Meinhardt struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Humberto de Vlieger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hertha 1969. Klaas Kolman kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Hertha 1969's Otto-Stephan Keck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto de Vlieger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 65th minute Dante Jakob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto de Vlieger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto de Vlieger came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Hertha 1969's Otto-Stephan Keck. But to his dismay, Otto-Stephan Keck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After having played for 71 minutes, Dante Jakob managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hertha 1969's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Jakob was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Michael Simpson got a free kick in the 74th minute. Tonnie Mueller might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erich Pietta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tonnie Mueller ran back to his position shaking his head. Erich Pietta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonnie Mueller in the 83rd minute of play. Humberto de Vlieger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Jakob, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th match minute, FCF north was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franck Reitsema to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match Lothar Bannert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto de Vlieger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 90th minute, Burkhard Männer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Tonnie Mueller fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erich Pietta, passed just outside the right post. Hertha 1969's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
