Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) istanbulls's Kaan Erginsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Vallander in the 6th minute of play. Eric Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağlar Başer in the 8th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Fatih Maradona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Kristian Fogel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of istanbulls's Kaan Erginsoy. Kaan Erginsoy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Ingvar Granberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kaan Erginsoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Degerfors IF's Rudolf Högman got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Çağlar Başer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, istanbulls's Eric Ivarsson threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Çağlar Başer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Çağlar Başer made the kick off in the second half. Eric Ivarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Göktuğ Arıtan in the 62nd minute of the match. If Çağlar Başer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute, David Dahlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Göktuğ Arıtan took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Ivarsson. Eric Ivarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Göktuğ Arıtan in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Ivarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
