Lasse Kronhoff started the match with the kick off. If Ingvar Granberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Per Bønkel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingvar Granberg in the 5th minute. Ingvar Granberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per Bønkel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Vallander in the 11th minute of play. Roald Revil charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roald Revil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of AC Farsaebarca:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Degerfors IF:s goal. Torbjörn Gallin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 18 minutes into the match, Svenne Estholm notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Degerfors IF's Eric Ivarsson. Eric Ivarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute, Kristian Fogel made a precise shot to the right of Per Bønkel. AC Farsaebarca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in AC Farsaebarca's zone, Melker Gråberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per Bønkel came out of the goal and Melker Gråberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lasse Kronhoff in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Ivarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luis Gyldhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Bønkel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Fogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per Bønkel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ingvar Vallander showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play. In the 44th minute, Lasse Kronhoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Farsaebarca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kristian Fogel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melker Gråberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Torbjörn Gallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Melker Gråberg fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Degerfors IF's protests and gave Melker Gråberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Melker Gråberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Svenne Estholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Degerfors IF's Per-Åke Kjellqvist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Per-Åke Kjellqvist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Degerfors IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Per-Åke Kjellqvist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Degerfors IF! AC Farsaebarca's Per Bønkel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Fogel in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Torbjörn Gallin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per Bønkel skillfully saved the ball. When Svenne Estholm came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the AC Farsaebarca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svenne Estholm couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Melker Gråberg. Lasse Kronhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Ivarsson having to interfere. The AC Farsaebarca supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC Farsaebarca would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
