The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fortunato Montini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonard Treppa went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Lelescu in the 11th minute of play forced GG Team FC's goalkeeper Fortunato Montini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Dino Baggio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radomir Zurawski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Borja in the 17th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Leonard Treppa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GG Team FC's Fortunato Montini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bo Dyken hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Lelescu in the 24th minute of play forced GG Team FC's goalkeeper Fortunato Montini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's zone, Miguel Borja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomir Zurawski came out of the goal and Miguel Borja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Scandella in the 29th minute of play forced RW AHLEN-KNURÓW's goalkeeper Radomir Zurawski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Bernardo Scandella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomir Zurawski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortunato Montini made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Leonard Treppa sent off a good shot on target. Leonard Treppa scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fortunato Montini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, GG Team FC's Dario Strazzabosco got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonard Treppa was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of GG Team FC booed when RW AHLEN-KNURÓW was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Lelescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fortunato Montini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Treppa in the 54th minute of the match. Leonard Treppa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Fortunato Montini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonard Treppa scored 3-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fortunato Montini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. RW AHLEN-KNURÓW made a substitution. Radowit Budrewicz replaced Cristian Lelescu. Aybek Orcun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
