After a rather tough play, GG Team FC's Bernardo Scandella got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, GG Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Hibai came free, but Fortunato Montini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Martini in the 31st minute of play forced GG Team FC's goalkeeper Fortunato Montini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Lunatics of Arianrhod from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The supporters of Lunatics of Arianrhod booed when GG Team FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meng Shi Peng didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ernesto Martini took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Fortunato Montini to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th minute of the match Lunatics of Arianrhod got a corner. GG Team FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johan Ström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Johan Ström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fortunato Montini in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Cerrone in the 61st minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Hibai struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Fortunato Montini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunatics of Arianrhod.
