Leonides Xacintu ran back to his position shaking his head. CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Xacintu in the 3rd minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Leonides Xacintu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joar Scheie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atak Üke saved 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB from getting behind. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Atak Üke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atak Üke saved 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB from getting behind. After 36 played minutes CAN ERZURUM got a freekick which was hit by Steven Spielberg. Leonides Xacintu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of CAN ERZURUM booed when 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orkun Sancar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Sven-Olof Vestlund struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Atak Üke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAN ERZURUM. The supporters of CAN ERZURUM booed when 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. CAN ERZURUM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Olof Vestlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CAN ERZURUM's Latif Baltacı was substituted for Hüsrev Özyay. 76 minutes into the game, Leonides Xacintu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joar Scheie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 81 minutes into the match, Leonides Xacintu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joar Scheie. CAN ERZURUM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Xacintu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Carles De Ligt came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carles De Ligt couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Mehmet Şefik Karadağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
