Atak Üke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darío Graabirk in the 10th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Las Palmas got a freekick which was hit by 谢亦寒. 14 minutes into the match, Las Palmas's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Xacintu came free, but René Stam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Atak Üke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 秦西星 in the 16th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, René Stam successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Las Palmas's René Stam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Las Palmas from getting a goal against them. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Kadri Aksoy got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Las Palmas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Xacintu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
