The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaap Stam kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Long Liang was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edward Krzynowek. Dries Mertens might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Naldo Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dries Mertens ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Perez in the 13th minute of play forced Yaman Academy®'s goalkeeper Long Liang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Carlos Alberto Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Scarlet Speedster's João Severino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Scarlet Speedster's Ryszard Janiczek seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ryszard Janiczek the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Scarlet Speedster protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ryszard Janiczek had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ryszard Janiczek hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Virgílio Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berkant Taçkın's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Naldo Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Carlos Alberto Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yaman Academy®'s supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Long Liang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Severino in the 30th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Scarlet Speedster's João Severino made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Long Liang was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Alberto Marquez took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Proença. Naldo Proença dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Dries Mertens hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Severino in the 43rd minute of play forced Yaman Academy®'s goalkeeper Long Liang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Marquez to strike the kick off in the second half. If Carlos Alberto Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scarlet Speedster made a substitution. Váldson Bittencourt replaced João Severino. Naldo Proença was a little too slow when Carlos Alberto Marquez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Scarlet Speedster's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Carlos Alberto Marquez scored to the left of an out of position Naldo Proença, making the score, 2-3. Scarlet Speedster's Edward Krzynowek managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nizam Urhan in the 71 minute of the game. When Carlos Alberto Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Yaman Academy® fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Marquez couldn't finish the play. After 82 played minutes Yaman Academy® got a freekick which was hit by Efe Akçay. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Scarlet Speedster lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
