Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Bartolome in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Miromir Ciechocki threw the ball into play from the sideline. Scarlet Speedster's Edward Krzynowek quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Franco Andreoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgílio Perez in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Bruno Sauveur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sportivo Mela Banco's Franco Andreoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Severino in the 22nd minute of play. Scarlet Speedster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Krzynowek in the 24th minute. Sportivo Mela Banco's Franco Andreoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Mela Banco from getting a goal against them. Franco Andreoli didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Franco Andreoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Severino, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Perez in the 44th minute of play forced Sportivo Mela Banco's goalkeeper Franco Andreoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Sauveur to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Virgílio Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgílio Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Naldo Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Sauveur in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Scarlet Speedster's Virgílio Perez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franco Andreoli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Froilan Bartolome's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Naldo Proença skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sportivo Mela Banco made a substitution. Yin Jian Bin replaced Bruno Sauveur. Scarlet Speedster made a substitution. Fausto Mendonça replaced Virgílio Perez. Scarlet Speedster made a substitution. Váldson Bittencourt replaced João Severino. The throw-in from Alberto Rosio in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Scarlet Speedster's Jens-Ove Eriksson. Naldo Proença came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Mela Banco's Yin Jian Bin. But to his dismay, Yin Jian Bin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 77 minutes into the match, Sportivo Mela Banco's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Mendonça came free, but Franco Andreoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Andreoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Fausto Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franco Andreoli. Sportivo Mela Banco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. With a little luck, Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença got control of the ball when Yin Jian Bin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franco Andreoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Fausto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Andreoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match Froilan Bartolome shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Naldo Proença showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sportivo Mela Banco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
