If Wally Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bulgaria's Hristofor Borchev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Bulgaria from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Wally Guzman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Canada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wally Guzman in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Velyo Denchev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wally Guzman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Hristofor Borchev made a huge save. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Stefan Iovan hit a great ball. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hristofor Borchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wally Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Wally Guzman made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafail Klenov in the 67th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canada made a substitution. Murat Dogan replaced Wally Guzman. Canada made a substitution. Gerardo McMillan replaced Roberts Lewandowski. Hristofor Borchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murat Dogan in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Bulgaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dido Dunchev to maneuver through the defense. Canada made a substitution. Eli Stoddard replaced Teodoro Barger. After 81 played minutes Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Dido Dunchev. Hristofor Borchev came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Canada's Murat Dogan. But to his dismay, Murat Dogan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 86 minutes into the game, Murat Dogan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Hristofor Borchev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes into the match, Canada's Murat Dogan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hristofor Borchev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Dido Dunchev. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bulgaria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Canada.
