In the 12th minute Yaman Akar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chuan Cintron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claude Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Sebastián Torrico made a huge save. GreenUnited's Sebastián Torrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Sena in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Atlético Municipal were awarded a corner. Claude Sena went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Atlético Municipal's Héctor Lavø getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Daniel Dănilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. GreenUnited's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Dănilă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chuan Cintron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yaman Akar in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chuan Cintron saved Atlético Municipal from getting behind. In the 32ndth minute of the game Yaman Akar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Willie Colon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastián Torrico. Willie Colon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
