An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaman Akar in the 7th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Peep Pronk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastián Torrico was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Peep Pronk took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastián Torrico. Sebastián Torrico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Peep Pronk sped through GreenUnited's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastián Torrico. 26 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Max Farr came free, but Fulgencio Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GreenUnited's Sebastián Torrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peep Pronk in the 28th minute of play. Yaman Akar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Fulgencio Eyague made a huge save. 41 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastián Torrico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AC LeX Luthor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mario Yepes in the 43rd minute. Peep Pronk might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastián Torrico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peep Pronk ran back to his position shaking his head. GreenUnited's Max Stevens was substituted for Yaman Akar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peep Pronk to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peep Pronk got free with Sebastián Torrico in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. GreenUnited's Sebastián Torrico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save GreenUnited from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastián Torrico. That made the score 0-5 after 58 minutes of play. GreenUnited made a substitution. Joao Zuazo replaced Max Farr. Peep Pronk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastián Torrico having to make a save. Peep Pronk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Sebastián Torrico made a huge save. AC LeX Luthor's Aristide Ciuvică was substituted for Peep Pronk. The supporters of AC LeX Luthor booed when GreenUnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Laine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Yepes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sebastián Torrico. Fulgencio Eyague made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Aristide Ciuvică scored 1-7 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastián Torrico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The AC LeX Luthor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC LeX Luthor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
