In the 22nd minute, Luiz Gustavo do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Jobo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Club Atlethico Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Gustavo do Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Hélder Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ranko Kvarantan in the 54th minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo do Valle struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Basilio Jobo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ubatuba. He walked away shaking his head. Basilio Jobo came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ubatuba's Luiz Gustavo do Valle. But to his dismay, Luiz Gustavo do Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Ubatuba made a substitution. Emil Kostadinov replaced Júnior Zanette. Ubatuba's Juvenal Paraibano was substituted for Luiz Gustavo do Valle. Basilio Jobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute.
