COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Gordon Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Negro in the 5th minute of play. After 7 played minutes COPERNICUS TORUŃ got a freekick which was hit by Brion Murphy. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Nikola in the 10th minute of play forced COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalkeeper Gordon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Negro in the 11th minute of play. Gordon Horgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Negro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Wilfredo Nikola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brion Murphy hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Olgun Oktay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Serafin Bernal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gordon Horgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Nikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gordon Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dawid Serwacki in the 24th minute of play. Dawid Serwacki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brion Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Dawid Serwacki came free, but Gordon Horgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Negro in the 41st minute of play forced COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalkeeper Gordon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aureliano Negro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Negro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Negro in the 51st minute of play forced COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalkeeper Gordon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradner McCready blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serafin Bernal having to make a save. 54 minutes into the game, one of C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The supporters of COPERNICUS TORUŃ booed when C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Segio didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Godfredo Nuñez was substituted for Aureliano Negro. Luciano Segio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Olgun Oktay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Gordon Horgan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save COPERNICUS TORUŃ from getting a goal against them. Serafin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgun Oktay in the 78th minute of the match. Gordon Horgan made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Godfredo Nuñez sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute of the game Vehdi Abanoz made a throw-in which Bradner McCready played forward. Godfredo Nuñez took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gordon Horgan. Gordon Horgan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Godfredo Nuñez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gordon Horgan. That made the score 0-2 after 93 minutes of play. The C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
