In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Matinette's goalkeeper Casper Jans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Casper Jans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfried Teunens in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Arnout Scheerens came free, but Humberto Salomone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute, Godfried Teunens made a precise shot to the right of Casper Jans. Racing Matinette's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Matinette's zone, Godfried Teunens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Jans came out of the goal and Godfried Teunens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. La Bichineta's Eliseo Iigo was substituted for Godfried Teunens. Eliseo Iigo struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Casper Jans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Bichineta. Racing Matinette's Chatziioannou Stavrakos was substituted for Arnout Scheerens. With a little luck, La Bichineta's Humberto Salomone got control of the ball when Alan Creemers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Humberto Salomone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chatziioannou Stavrakos in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Iigo in the 81st minute of play forced Racing Matinette's goalkeeper Casper Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Jans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseo Iigo's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Casper Jans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Iigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Alan Creemers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Humberto Salomone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Iigo in the 94th minute of play forced Racing Matinette's goalkeeper Casper Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Bichineta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
