The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Realsamesta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rahuecó:s goal. The goalkeeper, Johnie Ayers, was totally fooled by Rahuecó's Victor Rodriguez, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Giorgos Remos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Johnie Ayers firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Damian Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosendo Iago's late challenge caught a Rahuecó's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rosendo Iago helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Realsamesta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Iago to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Realsamesta's goalkeeper Johnie Ayers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Seme. If Damian Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Rahuecó booed when Realsamesta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Sadurni didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giorgos Remos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Johnie Ayers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Seme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Realsamesta's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Seme came free, but Johnie Ayers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Leopoldo Orkatz in the 61st minute really tested Herminio Eguen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 64th minute, Herminio Mateus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Amato might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johnie Ayers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donato Amato ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Rahuecó's Victor Rodriguez got a free kick in the 66th minute. After taking down the ball on Rahuecó's corner Victor Rodriguez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Johnie Ayers quite easily take care of the ball. After 78 played minutes Realsamesta got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Hitz. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Realsamesta's goalkeeper Johnie Ayers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Henry Martin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herminio Eguen. Henry Martin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1.
