Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gilberto Del Cid got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Whitehaven AFC's Antonio Guardado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseo Galdamez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lorenzo Quintanilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Whitehaven AFC's zone, Lorenzo Quintanilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Aguirrez came out of the goal and Lorenzo Quintanilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Lorenzo Quintanilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Aguirrez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 33 minutes, Lorenzo Quintanilla made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Whitehaven AFC's Elias Aguirrez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Lorenzo Quintanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Darlington's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Quintanilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Aguirrez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Miguel Lovo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Guardado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseo Galdamez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Leonel Palma made the kick off in the second half. Antonio Guardado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Galdamez having to interfere. Leonel Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Whitehaven AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Viscarra. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Darlington's goalkeeper Eliseo Galdamez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eliseo Galdamez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Guardado in the 80th minute. Lorenzo Quintanilla kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Leonel Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Guardado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Galdamez having to interfere. Eliseo Galdamez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Palma in the 98th minute of the match.
