Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Perez Collantes started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Damian's Javier Ibarra got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Javier Ibarra came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Damian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Ibarra couldn't finish the play. FC Cartagena's Llorenc Villamarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perez Collantes in the 7th minute of play. Llorenc Villamarin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Ibarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Perez Collantes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Llorenc Villamarin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Arsenio Gayoso came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolando Ladra could save by the left post. Frantzes Cordon charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frantzes Cordon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Damian getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Frantzes Cordon hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Richie Besosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Llorenc Villamarin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perez Collantes's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 29th match minute, Damian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richie Besosa to maneuver through the defense. Llorenc Villamarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Ibarra in the 33rd minute of play. Eliseo Orejo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Javier Ibarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llorenc Villamarin having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Perez Collantes made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Cartagena's Llorenc Villamarin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Perez Collantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Firmin Brena to make the kick off. During the 57th minute of the match Frantzes Cordon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Frantzes Cordon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Damian getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Frantzes Cordon hit a great ball. Ismael Fortea, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Javier Ibarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Javier Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Ibarra succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 69th playminute. In the 79th minute, Arsenio Gayoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Ladra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Javier Ibarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Ibarra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Llorenc Villamarin made a huge save. Samuel Quicedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Firmin Brena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Perez Collantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Firmin Brena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Rolando Ladra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
