Txeru Galarreta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balseadero. In the 11th minute, Zoil Lobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Llorenc Villamarin, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Balseadero's Marcones Arzalaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Balseadero from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Sasoin Gañona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balseadero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Guilherme Hoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Marcones Arzalaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Txeru Galarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josepe Masas in the 20th minute of play. Eliseo Orejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseo Orejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Clemencin Lambarida fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cartagena's protests and gave Clemencin Lambarida a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Clemencin Lambarida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Josepe Masas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Cartagena's Txeru Galarreta. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Orejo was the one to do the kick off. Txeru Galarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sasoin Gañona in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes Balseadero got a freekick which was hit by Zoil Lobo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Hoz in the 61st minute of play forced Balseadero's goalkeeper Marcones Arzalaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sasoin Gañona might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Txeru Galarreta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sasoin Gañona ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute Josepe Masas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Txeru Galarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josepe Masas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Txeru Galarreta came out and tried to block the shot, but Josepe Masas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 74th minute.
