Wesley Layton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Rankin, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Clifton Heights's goalkeeper Wesley Layton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Rankin. Vernon Tidwell hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Alexis Farrells short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Wesley Layton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexis Farrell in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wesley Layton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stefan Rankin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexis Farrell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Wesley Layton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Merle Comer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ray Dennis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincenzo Croft, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. In the 48th match minute, Tahata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Rankin to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alexis Farrell made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Randle in the 56th minute of play forced Clifton Heights's goalkeeper Wesley Layton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tahata FC's Alexis Farrell got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vincenzo Croft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Dennis having to interfere. Wesley Layton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Randle went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Clifton Heights defense, Stefan Rankin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wesley Layton. The Clifton Heights fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wesley Layton should have stopped the shot. After 69 played minutes Clifton Heights got a freekick which was hit by Milan Baez. In the 72nd minute, Trent Huntley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, Kraig Spangler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tahata FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clifton Heights the free kick. In the 90th minute Alexis Farrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Layton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley Layton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Guy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tahata FC's Stefan Rankin suffered a fractured collar bone after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Clifton Heights getting a freekick after 96 minutes play.
