In the 3rd minute of the match Aurelio Lujan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Darell Ingram skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Xeneize FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Aurelio Lujan hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Rodney Caudill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute of the match Alex Pulliam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bob Roach showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bob Roach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Crane, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Alachua's Milan Clement nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bob Roach made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Milan Clement fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Roach having to interfere. Chris Page received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bob Roach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Milan Clement had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pat Sheppard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alachua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Page was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Rivas made the kick off in the second half. Xeneize FC's Bob Roach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Page in the 53rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dale Lester during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, Dale Lester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Page fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Roach having to interfere. Chris Page received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bob Roach came out and tried to block the shot, but Chris Page slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 61st minute. When Chris Page came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Alachua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Page couldn't finish the play. Pat Sheppard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bob Roach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Page in the 72nd minute of play. Alachua's Chris Page got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 75 played minutes Xeneize FC got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Alfaro. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Milan Clement managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alachua's supporters rose to their feet, but Milan Clement was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob Roach breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Milan Clement fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Roach having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Xeneize FC got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Alfaro. After 83 played minutes Alachua got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Crane. Milan Clement received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bob Roach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Chris Page shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Roach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Rivas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the game, Xeneize FC's Pat Sheppard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darell Ingram made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Xeneize FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alachua were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
