Carson Weller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spencer Clark took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Walter Sprague. Legacy America's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rolland Sanders came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Legacy America's Mario Hoskins. But to his dismay, Mario Hoskins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Spencer Clark hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Casper Felix hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Wilson Pittman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolland Sanders made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Hoskins in the 41st minute. Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Santa Clarita Currents from getting a goal against them. Cobi Stinson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolland Sanders firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Pittman in the 45th minute of play forced Santa Clarita Currents's goalkeeper Rolland Sanders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilson Pittman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cobi Stinson took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolland Sanders. Rolland Sanders dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Santa Clarita Currents defense, Mario Hoskins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolland Sanders. The Santa Clarita Currents fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolland Sanders should have stopped the shot. Rolland Sanders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Vick in the 61st minute of play. Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Hoskins in the 62nd minute of play. Rolland Sanders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Pittman in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Wilson Pittman notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders. Rolland Sanders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Legacy America's zone, Solomon Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Sprague came out of the goal and Solomon Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Santa Clarita Currents getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alonzo Rosales hit a great ball. Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cobi Stinson in the 77th minute of play. If Wilson Pittman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th match minute, Santa Clarita Currents was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Rosales to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match Spencer Clark sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walter Sprague skillfully saved the ball.
