Spectators: 5150 (Terracing: 4050, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 50) Emery Stern took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolland Sanders. Rolland Sanders dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Emery Stern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Rolland Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emery Stern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolland Sanders having to interfere. After some careless play in the Santa Clarita Currents defense, Gilbert Blanton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolland Sanders. The Santa Clarita Currents fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolland Sanders should have stopped the shot. Rolland Sanders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emery Stern, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willie Solomon kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Garry Hartley notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders. Rolland Sanders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mitch Merritt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolland Sanders having to interfere. Gilbert Blanton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santa Clarita Currents! Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gilbert Blanton made the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Blanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rolland Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Santa Clarita Currents's goalkeeper Rolland Sanders had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emery Stern. If Willie Solomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donald Honeycutt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolland Sanders. Santa Clarita Currents's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Blanton in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Santa Clarita Currents getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alonzo Rosales hit a great ball. With a little luck, Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders got control of the ball when Emery Stern tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolland Sanders made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Emery Stern sent off a good shot on target. Emery Stern blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolland Sanders having to make a save. Emery Stern scored 0-7 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolland Sanders, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilbert Blanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rolland Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skyline View's Willie Solomon got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Bradly Blackwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santa Clarita Currents's Rolland Sanders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emery Stern in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Skyline View could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Santa Clarita Currents throughout the match.
