The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeffrey Myers got free with Wallace Page in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute Adrian Dickson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wallace Page saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Thorpe United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Dickson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wallace Page made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeffrey Myers in the 81st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Jim Thorpe United's goal looked a bit too open when Maxwell Tyler came free, but Winford Chandler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes in the game, Adrian Dickson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wallace Page having to interfere. Jim Thorpe United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
