Tim Davila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Hans Spencer made a huge save. Tim Davila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Hans Spencer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Tim Davila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rebel Squids's supporters rose to their feet, but Tim Davila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Spencer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Tim Davila took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Hans Spencer to make any attempt to save it. After 33 minutes, Tim Davila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rebel Squids and the Wayne Hills Patriots players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Rebel Squids got a freekick which was hit by Tim Davila. After some careless play in the Wayne Hills Patriots defense, Tim Davila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Spencer. The Wayne Hills Patriots fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Spencer should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Rebel Squids getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Collin Landis hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, Wayne Hills Patriots's Taylor McMahon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Freddie Farris came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wayne Hills Patriots reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Davila got free with Hans Spencer in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Alvarado was the one to do the kick off. Tim Davila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Spencer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Alvarado got free with Freddie Farris in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicky Prescott struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Hans Spencer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rebel Squids. If Tim Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Nicky Prescott had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans Spencer. Wayne Hills Patriots's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicky Prescott was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Tim Davila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Tim Davila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Rebel Squids's Tim Davila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Spencer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th match minute, Rebel Squids was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristopher Schumacher to maneuver through the defense. Rebel Squids's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
