Boyd Winkler came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by ForestFire's Ken Ivey. But to his dismay, Ken Ivey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 12th minute Ken Ivey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyd Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boyd Winkler made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Luisito James sent off a good shot on target. Shaki Conn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerry Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With an all-out effort, ForestFire's Boyd Winkler threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ken Ivey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Jaime McClendon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shaki Conn was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime McClendon came free, but Shaki Conn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vern Wright came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Pueblo FC fans jumped to their feet.
