After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ken Ivey managed to get in a good position for a shot. ForestFire's supporters rose to their feet, but Ken Ivey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Holman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, ForestFire's Roy Holman threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ken Ivey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Nixon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
