An unexpectedly hard shot by Hayden Burley in the 14th minute of play forced Chisholm Rookie's goalkeeper Danial McDermott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chisholm Rookie were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Stewe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jackson Caballero took the corner. Connor Christie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stratos Paxinos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Connor Christie got free with Stratos Paxinos in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmund Keyes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danial McDermott having to interfere. Martial Vrijdag hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Connor Christie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stratos Paxinos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
