After 6 minutes, Meziane Besseghir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ragnarök Forever and the JAMHURIYA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Meziane Besseghir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Juninho Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the JAMHURIYA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho Peixoto couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ragnarök Forever's Souad Harkouk got a free kick in the 8th minute. Fouad Mhenni made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Juninho Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Juninho Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. JAMHURIYA's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fouad Mhenni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juninho Peixoto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Fouad Mhenni when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fouad Mhenni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Peixoto in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, Ragnarök Forever's Fouad Mhenni got control of the ball when Fuat Gök tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juninho Peixoto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fouad Mhenni having to make a save. Mohamed Zaaf hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Mohamed Bouguerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faouzi Metref, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Juninho Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Bouguerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rachid Mazzid, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of JAMHURIYA booed when Ragnarök Forever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rachid Mazzid didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Juninho Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. JAMHURIYA's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After having played for 42 minutes, Rachid Mazzid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ragnarök Forever's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Mazzid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Artemio Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Rachid Mazzid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Juninho Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, JAMHURIYA's Juninho Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fouad Mhenni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fouad Mhenni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 62 minutes into the game, JAMHURIYA's Juninho Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Cordarrol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fouad Mhenni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rachid Mazzid got free with Mohamed Bouguerra in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. JAMHURIYA fully deserved thier win.
